The Home Cardigan Lite is a drop shoulder v neck that buttons up at the front. It is a timeless piece that will keep you cozy and in style during cooler seasons. It is designed to sit right on your hip level in length, but it can easily be made longer because it is constructed from the top down. First you will work the stitches for the back, after that you will work the right shoulder then the left shoulder as well as the front to shape the v neck and the armholes. A few videos are included in the pattern. The cardigan is worked flat and in the round (sleeves) in stockinette stitch and it is framed with the classic rib. 20 to 25 cm / 8” to 10” of positive ease is built in to the pattern, chose a size based on how much ease you prefer.

Gauge
19 stitches by 26 rows = 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm) using size US 7 / 4.50 mm needles in stockinette stitch, after washing and blocking.
 
Suggested Yarn
The Home Cardigan Lite is made with (plump) dk/ light worsted weight yarn, you will need approximately 450, (500), 500, (575), 600, (650), 700, (750), 750 grams of Jennifer Knits “Jennifer Pure Cashmere”, 100 grams = 228 meters / 250 yards. Sample is featured in color “Almond #8589”.

US 7 / 4.50 mm 80 cm / 32” circular knitting needles or needles to obtain gauge for the main body and double pointed needles or short 25 - 35 cm / 10” - 14” short tip needles for the sleeves+
US 6 / 4.00 mm 80 cm / 32” for the body ribbing and double pointed needles or short 25 - 35 cm / 10” - 14” short tip needles for the sleeve cuffs+
US 4 / 3.50 mm 80 cm / 32” or longer for the button band.
